Timothy Allen Proctor

Timothy Allen Proctor, age 79, of North Salem, Indiana, passed away peacefully at his home on March 9, 2026. After serving six years in the United States Air Force, he enjoyed a successful 30-year career at Allison Transmission, Rolls Royce, and General Motors. For the last 27 years of his life, Tim devoted himself to the things he loved most, especially farming. He found great pleasure working in his shop, woodworking, building birdhouses, and cheerfully taking on any project his wife asked of him.

Tim met the love of his life, Juli, on July 4, 1999, and they married just three months later. Their marriage was marked by a rare and tender devotion; they never spent a single night apart. Even during his hospital stays and as his health declined, Juli remained by his side, often going to bed as early as 5:30 p.m. so he would not be alone. Tim cherished life’s simple pleasures—watching birds from the porch, admiring the trees, and sharing a bowl of ice cream with two spoons. Their love endured with quiet strength until his final moments.

He is remembered as the best husband, dad, and papaw—a genuine, selfless, caring, kind, and honest man who was slow to anger and never complained. Tim stepped into difficult roles with a full heart and quiet pride, leaving a legacy of gentleness and unwavering love for his family.
