Thomas Wayne Swisher

Thomas Wayne Swisher passed away peacefully on March 10, 2026, in Dumas, Texas. Born on December 8, 1951, in Ulysses, Kansas, he spent his early years following his family as his father’s work took them across the region before settling in Keyes, Oklahoma, when he was in the fourth grade. That small town remained a place of deep roots and cherished memories throughout his life.

In 1970, Thomas welcomed his son, Wesley Swisher, into the world in Dodge City, Kansas. The family later moved to Hugoton, Kansas, where Thomas built a long career as a welder after first working for Strickland Construction. In his later years, he returned to Keyes, where he devoted himself to the family he held so dear.

He is survived by his son, Wesley Swisher and wife April of Sweetwater, Oklahoma; his sister, Cheryl Droste of Ford, Kansas; and his beloved grandchildren, Breauna Swisher of Elk City, Oklahoma, Taylor Herzberg and her husband Jason of Cheyenne, Oklahoma, Corbin Swisher and his wife Kaylynn of Wheeler, Texas, and Aspen Weber and her husband Garron of Borger, Texas. Thomas also treasured his great-grandchildren, Kaydence, Brazyn, Jaxton, Ryatt, Preslee, Kimber, and Harlynn.

Thomas will be remembered for his strong work ethic, his unwavering love for his family, and the quiet joy he found in time spent with those he cherished. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
