Hill Funeral Services - Bloomfield on Mar. 16, 2026.Thomas Stanley Moore, 71, of Bloomfield, Connecticut, departed this life on March 10, 2026. He was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew Moore and Dora (White) Moore, and his brother, Robert Moore.To cherish his memory, Thomas leaves behind his two beloved daughters, Destiny Woodward-Moore of Brooklyn, New York, and Keyla Woodward of Boston, Massachusetts, who will forever carry his love, strength, and guidance in their hearts.He is also survived by his siblings: Gloria Myers of Windsor, Connecticut, Andrew Moore of West Hartford, Connecticut, and Dee White of Newington, Connecticut. Also left to cherish his memory is his uncle, Rev. Walter McKenney, and his aunt, Fannie Love, along with many extended family members and dear friends. He also leaves a special friend, Susan, and her four daughters, who held a meaningful place in his life.Thomas was born in Hartford, Connecticut, and grew up in the Dutch Point neighborhood. He attended Eastern Connecticut State College before proudly serving his country for six years in the U.S. Army, including his last three years with the Connecticut National Guard.After completing his military service, Thomas dedicated much of his life to supporting and uplifting young people. He worked at Mount Olive Daycare Program, focusing on early childhood education, and later established his own daycare center, Tender Loving Care. His dedication to helping the youth continued through his work with the State of Connecticut Judicial Court system, where he served as a capacity shift supervisor and later as Deputy Superintendent for at-risk children.Thomas was deeply dedicated to public service and the well-being of his community. He served as Vice Chairman of the Bloomfield Republican Town Committee, where he worked to strengthen the town and advocate for both youth and senior citizens. He strongly believed in creating opportunities that would promote business growth and support Bloomfield's economic development. Thomas also served on the Bloomfield Board of Education and volunteered at the Bloomfield Health and Rehabilitation Center,where he honored and supported the seniors he often said had "paved the way for all of us."A devoted sports fan, Thomas especially enjoyed cheering for the Dallas Cowboys and New York Yankees. Above all else, he was a proud and loving father to his daughters and maintained close bonds with his siblings, cousins, and friends.Thomas was a faithful member of the New Testament Tabernacle Church in Bloomfield, under the leadership of Pastor Paul Long.Throughout his life, Thomas was recognized as a pillar of the community, dedicating himself to helping others. Many of the young people he influenced grew into adulthood remembering his guidance, encouragement, and support. His generosity of spirit and dedication to others will always be remembered.Thomas Stanley Moore will be deeply missed and forever remembered by his family, friends, and the many lives he touched along the way.
