Thomas Rucco

Thomas Rucco was born in Brooklyn, New York, on August 18, 1957, and lived there for most of his life before moving to Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, in 2018. There he became a parishioner of Holy Name of Jesus Church and a proud third-degree member of the Knights of Columbus.

He was predeceased by his parents, Frank and Frances Rucco, his sister Marianne Rucco, and his brother-in-law Harlan Hyans. Thomas is survived by his daughters, Brooke (Max) Skverchak of Staten Island, New York, and Diane (Michael) Accarino of Morganville, New Jersey; his siblings, Catherine Russo (Gary) of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, Theresa Hyans of Staten Island, New York, and Stephen Rucco of Sevierville, Tennessee; his grandchildren, Mia, Sebastian, Gabriella, and Dylan; and several nieces and nephews.

Thomas was a dedicated supporter of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, holding the young patients close to his heart. Even while facing his own cancer treatments, he maintained a deep personal commitment to their fight against the disease.
