Thomas R. Spittle, 71, of Woodbury Heights, passed away on March 13, 2026. Born in Washington, DC, Tom spent his youth in Cinnaminson and Mullica Hill before living in various places across the country. He settled in Woodbury Heights in 1992, where he became a beloved member of the community. A skilled electrician and natural handyman, he took pride in his work and in helping others.
Tom was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. For nearly five decades he shared a loving marriage with Rose Ann. He found deep joy in woodworking, spending time with his grandchildren, and nurturing the many meaningful friendships he formed at the gym. His warmth, practical wisdom, and sense of humor made him a steady source of advice, support, and laughter for everyone who knew him.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Rose Ann (née Montoya) Spittle; his daughter, Janine Spittle (Marco Gonzalez); his son, Jonathan G. (Amy) Spittle; his siblings, Charles, Margaret, Carol, Steven, David, Michael, James, Cara, Robert, and Nancy; and his grandchildren, Violet, Forest, Finnegan, Sullivan, Emily, Jonathan James, Lucas, and George. He was also survived by his daughter-in-law Megan Spittle, many nieces, nephews, and cousins, and his beloved Aunt Donna. Tom was predeceased by his son Jason.
