Thomas R. Mattos Obituary March 12, 2026 - Hartford Funeral Home

Thomas R. Mattos, age 70, of Hartford, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on March 12, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family. Born on December 28, 1955, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late John and Pearl Mienzer Mattos.

Thomas lived a life filled with adventure and passion. He worked as an instrumentation technologist at a power plant in Florida, where he formed lasting friendships and created many cherished memories. He loved the open road and could often be found riding his Harley-Davidson, and he found great joy in playful moments with his dogs. His genuine spirit and warm laughter touched everyone who knew him.

He is survived by his son, Thomas J. Mattos and his wife Shannon; his daughter, Natalie Stevens and her husband John; six beloved grandchildren; and two brothers, Earl Mattos and his wife Janice, and Rick Mattos and his wife Laura. He was preceded in death by a son, Jesse Mattos; two sisters, Gloria Maletta and Alberta Newcom; and three brothers, Jack, John, and Joe Mattos.

His legacy of kindness and strength will forever live on in the hearts of his family and friends. In our hearts, Thomas will always ride on.
