Fitzgerald, age 66, of Mantua, NJ, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by family. He was born in Rochester, New York, to Thomas and Sarah Fitzgerald.Affectionately known to most as "Tom", he enjoyed spending his time traveling for work and pleasure, visiting over 50 countries over the course of his career at OMAX Corp. When home, Tom enjoyed entertaining at "Fort Fitzgerald", his beloved backyard where he spent sunny days poolside with his grill or smoker going. He was always happy to catch up with friends in the "Barage". He loved watching the Philadelphia Eagles, especially at home on his beloved "Fat Italian" days. Tom had a knack for fixing anything and everything; he was truly "Fitz the Fixer".For all the joys in his life, there is nothing he loved more than his wife and the beautiful family they built together. He will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by all who knew him.He is survived by his loving wife, Debra L. (née Teti); his children, Jordan Fitzgerald (Taylor), Jillian Fitzgerald, and Dylan Fitzgerald (Britney); beloved "Poppy" to his grandchildren; and his siblings, Pam Fitzgerald, Jack Fitzgerald, Kathy Cole, and Peggy Huls.He was predeceased by his parents, Thomas and Sarah Fitzgerald (née Kidman), and his sister, Marie Fitzgerald.A memorial visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at Smith Funeral Home, 47 Main Street, Mantua, NJ 08051.
