Thomas L. Craven, Jr.

Thomas L. Craven, Jr., of Savannah Road in New Castle, passed away on Sunday, March 15, 2026, at UPMC Jameson Hospital. Born on September 1, 1951, in New Castle, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Thomas L. and Dora J. (Bessell) Craven, Sr. He married Patricia J. (Kloss) Craven on November 17, 1973, and she survives him at home.

Mr. Craven worked as a heavy equipment operator for ES Rock Cement, retiring after 30 years of service. He found great enjoyment in fishing, collecting guns, and target shooting, pursuits that reflected his hands-on nature and love of the outdoors.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia, and their three children, Tricia J. Craven, Thomas W. Craven, and Kelly S. Mele and her husband Aaron, all of New Castle, as well as one granddaughter, Autumn R. Mele. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Michael Craven, and his sister, Patty Shear.
