Tom Conway, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away in Gulf Shores, Alabama, after a short but courageous battle with cancer. Born in Naples, Italy, Tom was a man of steady character and simple pleasures. He found his greatest joy in the outdoors, whether patiently crabbing along the shore or spending decades on the baseball diamond.
As a dedicated youth baseball coach for many years, Tom did more than teach the game. He mentored generations of young players, leaving a lasting legacy on the fields he loved. He also enjoyed a distinguished 25-year career with Bechtel, serving in both corporate offices and in the field. His work took him to communities across the country, including Frederick, Lake Anna, Reston, Aliquippa, Oak Ridge, and Port Arthur, where he was known for his expertise and steady leadership.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Karyn; his sons, Matt (daughter-in-law, Rose) and Shaun (partner Nina); and his cherished grandson, Charles, who brought him immense pride and joy. He is also survived by his brother, Jim Conway, and his sisters, Kathy Conway and Patricia Napoli, as well as many beloved cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Bob Conway.
