Thomas John Printz

September 23, 1950 March 12, 2026

Rosholt, WI

Thomas "Tom" J. Printz, age 75, of Rosholt, passed away on March 12, 2026, at Marshfield Medical Center, surrounded by his loving wife and family, following the discovery of a brain tumor.

Born on September 23, 1950, in Stevens Point, Wisconsin, Tom was the son of the late William "Bill" and Isabelle (Schulist) Printz. He grew up on a small farm in Rosholt, attended St. Adalbert's parochial school, and graduated from Rosholt High School with the Class of 1968. A gifted athlete, he played center field and served as a left-handed relief pitcher on the baseball team, helping lead them to the state tournament during his senior year.

In September 1974, Tom married Ruth Stanczyk at Sacred Heart Church in Polonia. Together they raised three sons, Neil, Kip, and Adam. He spent 33 years working at the Stevens Point Brewery before retiring after an injury-induced stroke. Tom remained a passionate sports fan throughout his life, especially of baseball and the Milwaukee Brewers, while also cheering for the Green Bay Packers. He enjoyed playing softball for many years, hunting, ice fishing, and spending quiet time at home watching game shows and playing cards, dominos, and dice games with his family. Above all, Tom was devoted to his Catholic faith, praying the rosary daily for his loved ones and for anyone in need.

Tom is survived by his beloved wife, Ruth; their three sons, Neil (Nerissa), Kip (Michelle), and Adam (Brittany) Printz; twelve grandchildren, Riley (Savannah Jane), Isabella (Isaac), Gibson, Gloria, Agatha, Camilla, Aurora, Camryn, Blake, Emmett, Edith, and Eleanor; two great-grandchildren, and another great-grandchild on the way. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Isabelle; his parents-in-law, Chet and Beverly Stanczyk; and a brother-in-law, Lenny Stanczyk.
