Thomas J. Verville

SARASOTA, Fla. — Thomas J. Verville, age 81, of Sarasota, Fla., passed away on March 7, 2026, after a long battle with Parkinson's Disease and Lewy Body Dementia. Tom is survived by his loving wife, Jackie; his sons, Chris and Craig; his daughter in law, Monica; his grandchildren Jordyn, Cassidy, Addison, Jack, Collin, and Gabriella; and his siblings Barbara Cutter, Paul Verville, Marcia Walker, Joann Long, Diane Verville, Steve Verville, and Pam Bloemker. Tom was born on Dec. 3, 1944, in Hancock, Mich., to parents Bernard and Eleen "Nines" Verville. He was the oldest of their eight children. He grew up in Maysville and graduated from St. Patrick High School in 1962. He then attended Michigan Technological University in Houghton, Michigan, earning a degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1966. Tom later met his wife, Jackie, and the two married in 1970. He was well known for his kind spirit, wonderful smile, and unwavering dedication to his family and faith.
