He was predeceased by: his parents, William Kern and Mary Catherine Kern (Schimilfeng); and his son-in-law Mark Paskert. He is survived by: his wife Rose Ann; his children, Thomas Kern Jr. (Karen) of Scranton, Kathleen Kern McCormick of Jessup, Maureen Kern Paskert of Dunmore and Colleen Carra (Joseph); and his grandchildren, Maria Haggerty of Clarks Summit, Thomas Kern of Dalton, Tara Paolucci of Charleston, SC, Ashleigh Paskert of St. Petersburg, FL, Loren Paskert of Atlanta, GA and Daniel Carra. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 12th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Church of Saint Eulalia (214 Blue Shutters Rd, Roaring Brook Township, PA 18444). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, March 12th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Eulalia's Parish (214 Blue Shutters Rd, Roaring Brook Township, PA 18444).
