Aeschliman was born on June 1, 1945 to Joseph Aeschliman and Marguerite Saint in Tennessee. He passed away on February 24, 2026. A visitation will be held at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Des Moines from 11:00-12:00pm on March 4, 2026. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 12:00pm.He spent many dedicated years working at John Deere, where he built a long and meaningful career. He was known for his strong work ethic, reliability, and commitment to doing his job well.In his free time, Tom enjoyed playing fast-pitch softball, golfing, and bowling. He treasured the friendships he formed through these activities and the joy that came from staying active and connected with others. He also loved fishing with his family, especially with his late son, T.J.-time together that he held close to his heart.Above all, Tom loved his family. He was a devoted and loving husband, father, and brother. He leaves behind many cherished family members who will miss him deeply and carry his memory with them always.Thomas is survived by his wife, Jackie, and they were the loves of each other's lives; his daughters, Tressa Aeschliman, Kezia (Jeremy) Gettemy, Velvet Parsons, and Erin Stevens; sisters Vicky (Gary) Engle, Teresa (Dave) Steffen; brothers Chris (Joanne) Aeschliman, Stephen (Susan) Aeschliman; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and his beloved Cocker Spaniel, Daisy May.He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, T.J. Aeschliman; his sisters, Rita, Pat, Mary Lou, Shirley, Cecilia, Barbara, and Mary Eunice, who died in infancy; and his brother, Joe."Have I told you yet today for how much I love you?"Online condolences are welcome at www.ilescares.com.
