He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Thomas and Ruth Maurine Fleming. He is survived by: his children, Matt Fleming (Aika), Sarah Reece (Bill), Angie Fleming and Jessica Fleming; his grandchildren, Richard, Mary, Bryson Fleming, Brianna and Katelyn Reece; his sisters, Margaret Stretton and Pam Schaab (Mike); and his pet Wanda. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 12th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Metcalf & Jonkhoff Funeral Service (4291 Cascade Rd SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49546).
