Thomas F. Curtis

Thomas F. Curtis, age 76, of Battle Creek, passed away on Wednesday, March 11, 2026. Born on October 8, 1949, in Battle Creek, Michigan, he was the son of Orlo Dale and Virginia Margarete (Harvey) Curtis. Tom served in the U.S. Air Force from August 1973 until his honorable discharge in June 1981. He worked as a mechanic, forklift operator, and Haz/Mat driver before retiring from the Calhoun County Road Department.

On June 11, 1994, Tom married his high school sweetheart, Bobbi Dawn (Maxson). She preceded him in death on December 10, 1997. He is survived by his daughter, Dawn R. Magnusson; three grandchildren, Elizabeth, Catherine, and Paul Magnusson; his brother James (Melonie) Curtis and their children; his sister Patricia Curtis (David Jones) and her daughters, Elaine Hoxie and Kristin Hoxie; his brother Robert (Angelika) Curtis and their children, Janine Curtis and Robert M. Curtis; and his brother David Curtis.

Tom will be remembered as a devoted family man who cherished his wife, daughter, and grandchildren, and maintained close ties with his siblings and their families throughout his life.
