Thomas Edward Whalen

Thomas Edward Whalen, age 90, of Centerville, passed away on March 11, 2026. Born on March 20, 1935, in Springfield, Massachusetts, to Joseph and Bernice Whalen, Tom lived a life marked by quiet dedication and steadfast love for his family.

He worked as an accountant at EG&G Mound for 33 years. For many years, Tom and his late wife Jean were active members of Church of the Incarnation. Those who knew him remember a man of integrity, humility, and gentle humor who found deep joy in his family and his faith.

Tom is survived by his children Ken (Vonda) Whalen of Chicago, Illinois, Cindy (Matt) Trimeloni of Centerville, Ohio, Jim (Stacy) Whalen of Grand Rapids, Michigan, Bob (Mary) Whalen of Cresskill, New Jersey, and Dan (Honey) Whalen of Gahanna, Ohio; ten grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and many other loving relatives and friends. He will be laid to rest beside his beloved wife Jean at Centerville Cemetery.
