Thomas Edward Carlson

McCall, ID

Thomas Edward Carlson, cherished husband and devoted father, passed away at home on March 11, 2026. He was surrounded by his beloved wife, Patricia Carlson, his devoted sister, Jessie Stopsen, and his loyal dog, Ruby.

Born on March 5, 1947, in Richland, Washington, to Edward “Red” Carlson and Dorothy Mae (Harbour) Puckett, Tom was the eldest of five children. He attended primary school in Richland and graduated from Edmunds High School. A man of deep faith, he earned a degree in Theology from Corban University in 1969. Tom lived by his beliefs in Jesus, hard work, and education.

He was known for his generosity, gentleness, intelligence, love of travel, business acumen, and unpretentious manner. His quick smile, beautiful singing voice, and fabulous hair were unforgettable. To all who knew him, Tom was a true gentleman.

He is survived by his devoted and adored wife, Pat Carlson, of the family home. He also leaves his five children: Kristin (Carlos) Domingez, Tommy (Raquel) Carlson, Trisha (Briklyn) Wuich, Erica (Peter) Antioco, and Jennifer Barclay, as well as nine grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, siblings, cousins, and others whose lives he enriched. He was deeply loved as a husband, father, brother, uncle, ringleader, mentor, and friend. As Erma Bombeck once said, he used every talent God gave him.
