Thomas Eddie Kinney

Thomas Eddie Kinney, age 80, of Elam Street in Salyersville, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at ARH Paintsville in Paintsville, Kentucky, after a lengthy illness.

Born on November 30, 1945, in Pikeville, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Beule and Pebbles Kinney. Thomas worked as a miner until his retirement. He found great joy in spending time outdoors and sharing moments with family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Pebble Marie Kinney; sons, Ronnie Kinney and Rodney Humphry; brothers, Don Kinney and Aurth Kinney; and sisters, Patsy Gillespie, Irene Robinson, and Margaret Mitchell.

Thomas is survived by his wife, Gracie Collins Humphrey Kinney of Salyersville, Kentucky; sons, David Kinney of Pikeville, Kentucky, and John Humphrey Jr. of Clay City, Kentucky; sisters, Beverly Hicks and Fontella Griffin, both of Pikeville, Kentucky; along with numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a wide circle of family and friends who loved him dearly. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
