La Sala of Pelham, New York, passed awaysuddenly on March 3, 2026, at the age of 72. Born on May 4,1953, in New York City, Thomas was a distinguished realestate professional, sports enthusiast, and above all, adevoted family man.A proud alumnus of Fordham University, Thomas graduatedin 1975 before earning his law degree from Fordham LawSchool in 1978. These formative years launched asuccessful real estate career in his family's businessspanning over four decades. His professional legacy isperhaps best exemplified by his role as the lead real estatedeveloper for the construction of the Monarch condominiumon New York's Upper East Side in 1986. He later managedthe building with the same dedication he applied to all hisendeavors. For Thomas, the family business of real estatewas at the center of his professional life.Beyond his career, Thomas was a man of vibrant characterand warmth. He possessed a wonderful sense of humor anda happy demeanor. An avid golfer, he was a proud memberof the Westchester Country Club for over thirty years. Hisloyalty was steadfast, particularly regarding the New YorkFootball Giants, for whom he was a fanatical lifelong seasonticket holder. He was also a man of intellect who lovedhistory and political science, finding great joy in discussingthese topics with his family.Together with his older brother Steve, he financiallysupported Fordham Law's Feerick Center for Social Justice.Pet rescue and animal welfare charities were also causesdear to his heart. He was a figure his loved ones couldalways depend on, always full of good cheer and exudingwarmth, care, and love. Thomas is survived by his beloved wife of 45 years, CarrieLa Sala; his daughter, Erica La Sala; his two sons, ThomasJ. La Sala and Adam La Sala and his brother, Stephen LaSala and sister, Elena Barnabei. He is predeceased by hismother, Helen La Sala, and his father, A. Stephen La Sala.He leaves behind a legacy of hard work, generosity, and anenduring love for his family.A Memorial Mass will be at 11am on Friday March 13th atOur Lady of Perpetual Help in Pelham, NY.
