Born to late Wendell Shoulderblade Jr. and Ethelyn Spang. Birth name was Lynn Lowell Shoulderblade. Thomas also went by the name Lynn and Padro. Thomas was a member of the Northern Cheyenne Tribe. At birth, he was given the name Screaming Hawk, A'nenohenestoohe. Thomas was baptized at the Blessed Sacrament Church in Lame Deer, God Mother is Jocelyn Spang, and God Father is late Bernadine Shoulderblade Sr. Cheyenne namesake: Isaac Washington III.Thomas attended high school in Flandreau SD and St. Labre School in Ashland MT and graduated high school in Busby at the Northern Cheyenne Tribal School. He completed Kicking Horse Corps in Ronan MT with certifications for Maintenance, Electrical, Plumbing, Ground keeping, Ladder scuffling, Concrete, Masonry, Labor and Carpentry. He then attended Chief Dull Knife College. Thomas excelled in sports, we called him "Lefty" as he had all his smooth moves in basketball, baseball, football even on the dance floor breakdancing when he was younger. He was the pitcher for his little league baseball team where they champed out for three years in a row. He always enjoyed his childhood friends, bros and homies that he grew up with. Other skills: firefighting, janitorial and cooking. Most recent employment at West Park, caring for elders and keeping facilities clean in all areas.Thomas had a few places where he resided throughout the years. He stayed in El Paso, TX and North Carolina with Lujuanna/Dana Bullcoming family. Also, with Delores Shoulderblade and children in Riverton WY. Also spent time on Birney Divide with Auntie/Mom Jocelyn. His true home was on HWY 212 on top of Lame Deer at the "Ranch" with our mother Ethelyn. His favorite place was at the graves where our loved ones are buried, on the hill behind the house where he grew up in. He always called it "Top of the World".He learned how to bead, had a collection of medallions. He painted and had many drawings and designs that he drew himself. He collected Native American artwork and had a friend/artist Cliff Running Hawk from Oglala SD that sent him many paintings. In which he was always proud of and showed them to everyone and considered him as brother.Thomas loved cruising the hills and backroads and making it fun for all the kids. He liked going fishing and swimming with them and would always jump in the river in Birney. He always found places to shoot around and play them basketball. And would go fire off some rounds on top of the world. He always bought fireworks and lit them with the kids and always went all out. He always had the big speakers in his rides with the bass speakers to bump his music. He also liked to have cookouts and grill up his steaks and burgers and be with family.Thomas always did everything "BIG". He always had a smile on his face. He always greeted everyone, hugged them, and always had good words and advice. He always gave everyone props and would tell them life would be okay. He loved everyone and showed it. He was and will always be "Momma's Baby Boy". She always came first and he made sure she was always taken care of. He loved his kids and even took care of others as well. He is the favorite uncle. He was the father figure to the nieces and nephews. And earned the Grandpa Role as well. He was called Papa. He called everyone "Nephew".Thomas had great love for his Spang, Shoulderblade, Fisher and Blackwolf Family.Thomas is survived by his mother, Ethelyn, Brother: Wendell (Anya), Crystalynn (EJ Getsdown), Sheila (Joel Means), and Brandy Pretty On Top Tallbull-Spear (Sean) and wife Rossalynn Russell; Children: Bladen, Aaliyah, Blazen, Elias and Lashanta, Courage, Joce'Nia (Taylor) Two Lance, Jessica, Luna. Also took in: Murando; Grand Children: Ty'zen, Tay'zon (Their Poppa); Nieces/Nephews: Keyshawn (Chontae) Davey, Isaac, Isaiah, Nevaya, Irie, Isaac III and Isaiah Washington, Nayarose (Trent) and four children; Tywaun, Payton, CheyLo, Chace, Wendell IV, Beloved Treyson (Angelicia) Trey'licia, Taeleia, Arryana, Kylei, Deanna, Deja, Quindell, Shantasia, Zion, Sean Jr., Sean; Aunts/Uncles: Wilma (Tiny) Shoulderblade, Warren, Jocelyn, Jolene (Jeffery Solis) Spang, Lanita Little Whiteman, Lucinda (Joe Fox Jr), Eloy (Del Marie) Brady; Grandparents and Families: Marcelline Shoulderblade, Llevando (Phyliss) Fisher, Jule Spang, Bonnie Belt, Hansa Faye Burns, Terry (June) Spang, Esther and Shirley Ann Brady, Serena Wetherelt, Irene Flying, and Calvin Brady Sr., Larry Sioux and many numerous relatives.Thomas is preceded in death by his grandparents: Burt/Emeline Spang, Henry/Lucille Fisher, Alfonso/Mary Spang, Wendell Sr/Ruth Shoulderblade, Ben/Ella Blackwolf, Lawerence/Wendelline Neiss, Mary/Starla Shouldeblade, Don/Ruthie Shoulderblade, Bernadine and Francis Shoulderblade, Beloved Marquez Amias and Legend Latrell, ; Nephew/Son Treyson Means, Niece Shetae Sandcrane, Friends Al Fisher, Arsenia Morrison.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
