Thomas Charles Gates

Thomas C. Gates, of Manchester, New Hampshire, passed away on March 7, 2026, after a brief illness.

Born on May 14, 1940, in Nashua, New Hampshire, Tom was the son of Charles Giatas and Mary (Sourelas) Giatas and the nephew of Katherine Sourelas. In his twenties, he built a successful career as a radio broadcaster and disc jockey, sharing his love of music and his engaging personality with listeners at stations across the country. After returning to New Hampshire, he established Tom's Enterprises, where he spent many years buying and selling cars as an independent dealer.

Tom held a lifelong passion for NASCAR and regularly traveled the East Coast to follow the racing circuit. He is survived by his children, Sarah Gates and Charles Gates, and his former wife, Pauline Gates.
