Thomas Charles Byars Jr., 42, of Resaca, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, March 8, 2026. He was born in Dalton, Georgia, on July 6, 1983, to Thomas Charles Byars Sr. and the late Sandra Chastain.

He is survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Ashley Byars; daughter, Maranda Brooklin Nicole Byars, her son Bogar “Little Bo” Aguilar III, and her partner Bogar Aguilar II; daughter, Jessica April Nell Byars, her son Cade Mauricio Henriquez, and her partner, Walter Henriquez; sisters, Jessica Byars, Crystal Byars, Sherry Ivey.

Thomas was the perfect husband, father, and Paw Paw. He was a master of all trades and the protector of his family. He enjoyed cars and trucks, and his favorite color was orange. He was very stylish, always kept his shoes clean. and loved to look good. He loved to eat, especially a good hamburger. He was a beloved brother and will be forever missed.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 12, 2026, from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 12, 2026, at 3:00 PM from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Tim Reid officiating. Burial will follow in Bethesda Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers serving are Brooklin Byars, Jessica, Byars, Eugene Wilson, Walter Henriquez, Bogart Aguilar II, and Shane Holloway.
