Thomas Chadwick ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Shorey-Nichols Funeral Home & Crematory Services, Pittsfield on Mar. 9, 2026.PITTSFIELD - Thomas B. Chadwick, Sr., 83, died peacefully on March 7, 2026, in Bangor, Maine, with close and loving family by his side.He was born on January 27, 1943, in Brockton, MA, the son of the late Ezra and Julia (Clogston) Chadwick. He married the love of his life, Sharon Page, in 1962 and together they raised their family in Pittsfield, Maine. He had a decades-spanning career as a master electrician, but was truly a jack of all trades: electrician, carpenter, machinist, plumber, mechanic. Those who knew him would say he could build or fix just about anything.Although born in Massachusetts, he was a Mainer through-and-through since his family moved to Maine when he was a child. He graduated from the Hinckley School, class of 1962, marrying Sharon shortly after. They lived in Augusta for a time, eventually settling in Pittsfield. Over time he became a quiet staple of the Pittsfield community, having worked on just about every building in town. In his earlier years he worked on the maintenance crew at Maine Central Institute (MCI) and served as a member of the Pittsfield Fire Department, later serving as Fire Chief. He had a kind, gentle demeanor and was always willing to lend a helping hand to others whenever he could. He loved talking about trucks, motors, trains, and snowmobiling, and enjoyed sharing stories and conversations with anyone who would listen. He wasn't much for traveling, but when Sharon operated the Easy Street Bed and Breakfast out of their empty-nest home, the world came to them.He is survived by his loving wife, Sharon, and their 3 children: Sally Moon and husband Troy, Bonnie Chadwick and husband Dan Skillin, and Thomas Chadwick, Jr. and wife Laura. He leaves behind his beloved grandchildren: April Delcourt and wife Kendra, Julia Chadwick, Emma Chadwick, and Teagan Moon. He is also survived by his siblings John Chadwick and Marion Mosher along with many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother James Chadwick.A service will be held at a time to be determined by the family. To leave a message of kindness or to share a memory, please visit www.shoreynichols.com.Care has been provided by Shorey-Nichols Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Pittsfield. To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
