Thomas Anthony “Tom” Woods, 61, of Beaver Dam, passed away at his home surrounded by his family on March 14, 2026. Born in Philadelphia on June 16, 1964, to the late Kathleen Harvey, Tom lived a life rooted in service, faith, and simple joys.
A member of Barnetts Creek Baptist Church, Tom served as an Ohio County Sheriff’s Deputy and later as transportation director for the Ohio County Board of Education. He found great pleasure in bluegrass music, auctions, and cooking for those he loved.
He was preceded in death by his father, Bob Woods; his brother, Michael Woods; and his beloved wife, Jennifer Whittaker Woods.
Tom is survived by his sons, Jordan Woods and Jesse (Emily) Woods; grandchildren Truitt Woods and Aubrey Woods; and siblings Sandie (Charlie) Minton, Linda Woods, and Steve (Mandy) Woods. His family will cherish the warmth, dedication, and quiet strength he brought into their lives.
