He was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, to the late John Emile Celestin, Sr. and the late Josephine LoBuono Celestin.Tommy was preceded in death by his parents and six siblings: John Emile Celestin, Jr., Henry Celestin, Philip Celestin, Sr., Donald Celestin, Sr., Andre Celestin, and Grace Celestin Stubben.He leaves behind his devoted wife of 63 years, Thelma Caminita Celestin. He was the proud father of four children: Laurie Celestin Morris (Mike), Monica Celestin Chisesi (Cody), Melissa Ann Celestin (Tod), and Thomas Anthony Celestin, Jr. (Bridget).Thomas was the loving grandfather of: Brandi Bowman Hansel, Brittney Morris, Kristine Scaling (Micah), Baylea Celestin, Morgan Lee (Tanner), Nicole Chisesi-Waguespack (Wayne), Mason Celestin, Alissa Chisesi, Mia Celestin, and Codi Chisesi (Eric), Aaron Leeper (Ashlee), Seth Overmyer (Gina), Ian Overmyer, and Cassie Hoffer (Matt). He was also a proud great-grandfather to: Henry, Nathan, Olivia, AJ, Colton, Summer, Tavin, Bayne, Zavier, Zander, Matt Jr and Zeppelin. Loving Uncle to many nieces and nephews.Tommy was a member of Plumbers & Steamfitters Local 60 for 63 years and was an Avid pool player. He could often be found at local pool halls including Buffalo's, Cue & Cushion, Corner Pocket, Lucky Cue, Sports Place, and Whitey's, where he shared many good times with friends.Relatives and friends are invited to attend the memorial services on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Drive, Metairie, Louisiana 70001. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am, with a Mass following at 1:00 pm.In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Tommy's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.Read The Full Obituary
