Thomas Quilici ObituaryVisit the Relyea Funeral Chapel website to view the full obituary.A devoted father and a beloved son, brother and friend to many, Thomas Angelo Quilici lived a full life. He died at age 64 on March 7, 2026, in Boise, Idaho.Tom was born May 21, 1961 in Lovelock, Nev., to Elmo "Orkie" and Belinda Quilici. Growing up, sports and the outdoors were his backdrop. Along with his twin brother Tony and their many friends, he loved to hunt, fish, snow ski and water ski, and he excelled in sports, playing football, basketball and baseball. He graduated from Lovelock's Pershing County High School in 1979 and went on to the University of Nevada, Reno where he earned a degree in business. He always remained a passionate fan of Nevada Wolf Pack football and basketball. After college Tom moved to Hayward, Calif., to work for Del Monte Electric as a project manager and, in 1992, he moved to Elko, Nev., to work for Ames Construction as a project manager. He met Amy Hovan in Elko, and they married and moved to Boise in 1995. There, Tom worked for Micron, and in 2001 he changed careers to financial planning, which he did until his retirement.Tom's pride and joy were his sons, Angelo born in 2004 and Luca born in 2006. When they were young he loved riding bikes with them on the Boise River Greenbelt. Over the years he made it his mission to teach them to play and love the sports that meant so much to him. Tom coached the boys' youth teams, and he and Amy were their co-parents (following divorce) and biggest supporters through the boys' years at Bishop Kelly High School. Tom loved taking the boys on camping trips to Lake Tahoe, enjoying all the things that were part of the traditional visits of his youth spent in and around Incline Village with his family and his uncle, Ed Coppin, who lived there.Tom was fun-loving, smart, curious and thoughtful. He cared deeply about his boys doing well in school, playing sports and enjoying life at a high level. As Tom would say, if you do that, you will have been very successful.Tom is survived by his sons Angelo and Luca, his brother Tony and children Anthony and Annelise of Boise, and his brother Jeffery and son Michael of Las Vegas. He is predeceased by his parents, Elmo and Belinda. Special in his life was an extended family of cousins, aunts and uncles. Heartfelt appreciation is extended to the medical professionals and caregivers who were part of Tom's courageous battle with esophageal cancer.A service to remember Tom's indomitable spirit will take place Monday, March 23, 10:00 a.m., at the Relyea Funeral Chapel in Boise.Read The Full ObituaryTo plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
