Theresa Ricke ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Oakcrest Funeral Services Wesley on Mar. 14, 2026.A Funeral Mass for Theresa "Terry" Ricke will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 19, 2026, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Wesley with Father Zach Jones presiding. Burial will be at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, at Oakcrest Funeral Services in Wesley.Theresa "Terry" Suzanne Ricke was born April 1, 1948, in Wesley, Iowa, the daughter of Lou and Betty (Jones) Ricke. She grew up in Wesley where she attended Corwith-Wesley-Lu Verne Schools. After her schooling she moved to Florida where she worked as a waitress for a year before moving back to Iowa to help on the family farm.On February 14, 1968, Theresa was united in marriage to Loren Pesicka, Sr. in Blue Earth, Minnesota. After their marriage they lived in Wesley before moving to the family farm in Burt in 1976, where they raised their family. The were later divorced.Terry went to work at Snap-On Tools for 18 years. She later obtained her CDL and did some OTR trucking for a while before going to work at Universal Manufacturing in Algona.She loved her family and the time she was able to spend with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Terry also enjoyed playing guitar, softball in her younger years, fishing, car racing and video recording all of it. During the summer, she loved taking rides around town and in the country on her beloved pink trike, something that made her feel truly free and always brought a smile to her face.Terry died Friday, March 13, 2026, at the Kossuth Regional Health Center in Algona. She was 77.She is survived by her children, Loren (Heather) Pesicka, Jr. of Burt; Gary (Diamond James) Pesicka of Burt; Tammy (David) Steiner of Burt; grandchildren, MaKenzie (Zach) Wiltse; MaKenna (Adam Gambell) Pesicka; MaKiley (Casey Carlson) Pesicka; and great-grandchildren, Natalie, Harper and Sophie Wiltse. Also surviving are siblings, Carmen Tilkes, Connie Woodson, Sharon Meyer; Julie and LeRoy Pesicka; LaVerne Ricke; Paul and the late Pam Ricke; Rosalie and husband Wilbur Johnson; Nancy and Carl Johnson; Tom Ricke and wife Jackie; Raymond Ricke and wife, Lyneen and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Chuck Ricke and Kenny Ricke; sister, Bea Batt and a nephew, Shawn Johnson.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
