February 27, 1940— March 14, 2026
Methuen, MA
Theresa M. (Bastian) Beauchesne, a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on March 14, 2026, at the High Pointe Hospice House in Haverhill, Massachusetts, surrounded by her loving family. Born on February 27, 1940, in Lawrence, Massachusetts, she was the daughter of Irene (McKay) and Edward Bastian and the oldest of many siblings. A graduate of Sacred Heart School’s Class of 1957, Theresa devoted more than thirty years of her career to the Andover Companies, where her colleagues fondly remember her hardworking spirit, joy, and humor.
A devout Catholic and longtime parishioner of St. Theresa’s (Our Lady of Good Counsel), Theresa lived her faith through quiet acts of kindness and compassion, serving as a eucharistic minister and always placing the needs of others before her own. She married the love of her life, Francis Beauchesne, on May 19, 1962. Together they created a home rich in love and laughter, raising three devoted children: Michael and his wife Barbara, Jeanne and her husband Daniel, and Stephen and his wife Joanne.
Theresa’s greatest joy came from her family. She leaves behind her beloved grandchildren Amanda and Jason Lee, Emilie Zahn and Patrick DeAngelis, Ian Beauchesne and Anna Barry, Olivia, Allison, Elizabeth, and Timothy, as well as her great-grandson James. She is also survived by her sisters Doris Green and Joan Bastian, brothers Mark and his husband Rod, Edward and his wife Rhonda, and John and his wife Patricia, along with brother-in-law Paul and his wife Joyce Beauchesne, and sister-in-law Cecile Belanger. She was predeceased by her parents, her brother Thomas Bastian, her son-in-law James Zahn, and her brothers-in-law Raymond Belanger and Kenneth Green.
Theresa found deep pleasure in gardening, traveling with her husband, knitting, reading, and sharing her quick wit and warm laughter over a good gimlet. Loving, funny, and generous, her spirit remains alive in the countless memories she created and the love she gave so freely to all who knew her.
