Theresa Faye Cain

Theresa Faye Cain, 62, of Hardin, Texas, passed away on March 7, 2026. Born on July 6, 1963, in Dayton, Texas, she lived with a free spirit that drew people to her and left a lasting impression on everyone she met.

Affectionately known as “G-Maw,” “Throttle Momma,” “Momma T,” and “Tbone,” Theresa worked as a bus driver for Beaumont ISD. To her family and friends she was a superhero who rode her beloved motorcycle like a cape, embracing every adventure with vigor. She possessed a heart as wide as the Texas sky and a natural gift for connecting with others, always ready with a helping hand, a listening ear, or a thoughtful surprise that showed how deeply she cared.

Theresa expressed her creativity through stained glass and crafting stepping stones. She found simple joy in fishing and shared her love of lakes and rivers with her children, living each day exactly as she wished. Her warmth, artistic spirit, and adventurous nature brought light to her family and all who knew her.

She is survived by her son Cody Cain and his wife Bethany, her daughter Karli Cain-Colton and her husband Caleb, and her cherished grandchildren Cody Mason Cain, John Clyde Cain, Piper Colton, and Charlie Colton. She is also survived by her siblings Mark Hopson, Cindy Prochazka and husband James, Diana Hopson and husband George, and Michelle Bauman and husband Steve, as well as nieces Jennifer Lambert, Cynthia Sweeney, and Stephanie Hopson, whom she loved as her own daughters, along with many other nieces, nephews, and extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clifford Marion Hopson and Dolores Anna Norris Hopson.
