Theodore Triplett ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home - Herrin from Mar. 7 to Mar. 16, 2026.Theodore "Ted" Triplett, born August 4, 1963, passed away peacefully on March 7, 2026, surrounded by his loved ones.He was born Sunday, August 4, 1963 in Carbondale, Illinois, a son of Billy Joe and Marian Lucille (Gregge) Triplett. He married the love of his life, Gina Marie (Clancy) Triplett in Marion, on May 07, 2017.Ted loved the St. Louis and Arizona Cardinals, Christmas, and spending time with family. Ted was a simple man who lived a full and happy life.Ted was a longtime employee of General Dynamics in Marion and a Navy Veteran. He was known for his height, sense of humor, generous spirit, booming voice, and his beautiful baby blues. Ted was a loving brother, husband, father and grandfather.He leaves behind his wife and best friend- Gina Marie Triplett; four sons- (twins) Jacob and Kaleb Triplett, Aaron Jones and fiance Therese O'Conner, and Casey and Honelyn Jones; daughter- Brianne Mitchell and fiance Edgar Valencia; four grandchildren- Harli Mitchell, Wyatt Wells, Luis Urias-Flores, and Carmilina Jones; four sisters- Vicki Delso, Sandy and Virgil Orendoff, Paula Triplett, and Pam Cole; brother-in-law and sister-in-law- Richard and Regina Clancy; and a host of extended family members and dear friends.He was preceded in death by his parents- Marian and Billy Joe Triplett; three siblings- Kathy Allsop, Kelly Byrn, and Billy Triplett; and two brothers-in-law- Tom Cole and Arnold Delso.Ted will be deeply missed by those he leaves behind.Celebration of life services will be announced at a later date.Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin is honored to serve the family.
