Theodore Lundmark ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Cease Family Funeral Home - Bagley on Mar. 9, 2026.Theodore "Ted" Lundmark, 87, of Leonard, Minnesota passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 28, 2026 at Cornerstone Nursing and Rehab Center in Bagley, Minnesota. Ted had battled Parkinson's disease for many years.Theodore Vernon Lundmark was born on February 7, 1939 to parents F. Vernon and Hilda (Lindmark) Lundmark of Leonard, Minnesota. Ted married Beverly George September 30, 1961 in Clearbrook, MN.Ted graduated from Clearbrook-Leonard Public School in 1957. After graduation he worked for the Leonard Creamery Co-op Assn. hauling milk from the Pinewood area. He also worked on the ore boats on the Great Lakes and drove truck for Ted "Sonny" Ekre hauling freight and livestock between home and Minneapolis. Ted went back to work at the Leonard Creamery while taking classes from the Thief River Falls Area Vocational School to obtain his State of Minnesota Engineer Chief B License for operating and maintaining boilers. In 1968 Ted became Manager of the creamery and managed it for 20 years. He left the creamery in 1988 and drove bulk truck for Land O' Lakes. In 1998 Ted retired due to health issues.As a kid, Ted loved to hunt, fish, and snowshoe. His love for hunting and fishing continued into adulthood and led to many fond memories with family and friends. Ted loved to play "Marbles" a family favorite. He loved to play cards especially "Pinewood" Smear, Draw Smear, and Cribbage. These, too, led to many fond memories with family and friends. Ted enjoyed reading westerns and watching western movies. Ted was active in the community serving as Constable, City Clerk, Mayor, volunteering on the Hard Times Bash Committee, and serving 9 years on the Board of Directors for the Clearwater County Historical Society.Ted is survived by his wife Beverly Lundmark; daughters Melanie (Randy Lene) Paulson and Kelly Lundmark; son Tony Lundmark, all of Leonard.Grandchildren Nicholas "Nick" Paulson, Olivia (Chase) Torgerson, and Tyler Bergkamp Lundmark. Great-grandchildren Tripp, Reese, Aeryn, Anders, and Adrian. Step-grandchildren Jennifer and John; step-great-grandchildren Arsen and LakelynSisters Sharon Dahlke and Corliss (Dwight) Gunning; brothers Roland (Denise) Lundmark and Bradley (Rita) Lundmark; Sisters-in-law Marilyn Emery and Donna Wendlandt; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.Ted was preceded in death by his parents Vernon and Hilda Lundmark, infant son Keith Lundmark, son Zane Lundmark, grandson Christopher "Chris" Paulson, sons-in-law Brett Paulson and Brian Chandler, daughter-in-law Marilyn Lundmark, sister Rosalee Hanson, brother Donald "Billy" Lundmark, nephews Greg Conlon and Billy Lee Lundmark, niece Vicki St. Martin, brother-in-law Bill Hanson, sister-in-law Peggy Lundmark, uncles, aunts, cousins, father and mother-in-law, and many brothers and sisters-in-law.Funeral services for Ted will be Saturday, March 14, 2026 at the Cease Family Funeral Home in Bagley, MN with Pastor Michael Wright officiating. Visitation will be at 1:00 PM and funeral service at 2:00 PM. Burial will be this summer at Sinclair Cemetery, Leonard, MN.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
