Thelma C. Mull, 71, of Hayesville, passed away on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. She was born on July 28, 1954, to the late Ethel Crisp and Harold Eugene Crisp. She was also lovingly raised by her late stepfather, Glen William Crisp. Thelma will be remembered for her kind heart, strong work ethic and the deep love she had for her family. Thelma spent many years working at Hayesville Elementary School and proudly served her community as a school bus driver for 30 years. She found joy in the simple things in life; gardening, canning and spending time with the people she loved most. Thelma will be remembered for her love of family, her caring spirit, and the many lives she touched throughout her years in the community. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. She will be deeply missed and forever loved. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her loving husband, William Mull; two sisters, Brenda Everette and Virginia Coffey; and her granddaughter, Desiree Mull. Thelma is survived by her significant other, Ray Ledford; her two children, Debra Mull and Lucas Mull and wife Melissa; and her two honorary children, Martin ""Nacho"" Chavez and Tasmen Bissell; her nine beloved grandchildren, Merinda Ward and husband Justin, Lonnie Randall, Kyleigh Whitney, Destiny Mull, Star Whitney, Chasity Mull, Brayden Whitney, Draven Lipscomb and Eli Mull. She was also blessed with seven great-grandchildren who brought her great joy: Harrison and Hadlee Ward, Hazel Randall, Kenyan Rattler, Isla-Mae Rattler, Valorie Mull and Silas McVay. Thelma is also survived by her three siblings, Ben Crisp and wife Jackie, Alvin Crisp and wife Donna, and Charlotte Ball, as well as many loving nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Sunday, March 8, in the chapel of Ivie Funeral Home, Hayesville, with the Revs. Kyle Cody and Aud Brown officiating. Interment was held in Mosteller Cemetery. Pallbearers were Charles Ledford, Justin Ward, Draven Lipscomb, Colton Czarnecke, Shon Crisp, Nacho Chavez, Beau Webster and Brayden Whitney. Honorary pallbearer was Robert Mull. The family received friends from 1-2:45 p.m. Sunday at Ivie Funeral Home, Hayesville, prior to the service. Ivie Funeral Home, Hayesville, was in charge of all arrangements.
