Thelma Amie Mahan was born to Cliffard Matthue Vance and Thelma Evelyn (Julian) Vance on September 21, 1954, in Custar City, Oklahoma. She passed away on March 15, 2026.
Thelma worked for many years at Kwikset Manufacturing in Bristow, Oklahoma. She had a lifelong passion for sewing, particularly embroidery, and found great joy in fishing. She cherished all babies and took pride in furthering her education, earning her GED and completing her EMT certification at Wes Watkins Vocational Technical Center in Wetumka, Oklahoma.
She married Bobby Eugene Mahan, Sr. on December 12, 1975. He preceded her in death, as did her parents, her sister Wanita Darling Vance, and her nephew Don Ackerman.
Thelma is survived by her son, Bobby Eugene Mahan, Jr., her brother Cliffard Matthue Vance and his wife Angela of Okemah, Oklahoma, and her sisters Betty Eslick of Okemah, Roberta Neal of Okemah, Rose and Melvin Kiker of Shawnee, Oklahoma, and Ruth and Loren Jacky of Okemah.
