Terry Louis LintonTerry Louis Linton, 76, was called home by his Heavenly Father on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, from his residence in Spotsylvania County.Terry Louis Linton was born November 8, 1949, in Alexandria, Va. to Kirk Louis and Evelyn Virginia (Bird) Linton. He was baptized in Christ on July 17th, 2005, at Benchmark Baptist Fellowship.After graduating from Fort Hunt High School in Alexandria, Va., Terry's service with the Navy Seabees (MCB4 1968-1974) earned him several medals including a Purple Heart for Vietnam. In his working career, Terry spun records for the radio stations Big K and WPWC. He was a reporter for Old Mill News and a superintendent in the housing insulation industry for Davenport, Dominion Insulation, and Southland Insulators. He was also self-employed at Linton Group Limited, and he also created a nonprofit organization, Linton Research Fund, where his genealogy skills shined. He was a member of RF&P Railroad Historical Society and Friends of Jerusalem Mill.Terry enjoyed being a member of the Boy Scouts, collecting baseball cards, coins and stamps. He also enjoyed fishing and hunting for shark's teeth and Indian artifacts. Terry loved country music, trains, mills, history, genealogy, and also dabbled in pen and ink drawing and painting. Terry was always up for a good meal, great conversation and game night. He loved spending time with family and friends.Terry is survived by his two sons, Travis (Paulette), Wade (Joy) and their mother Christine; three grandchildren, Alexandra, Jacqueline and Elijah; brother Kenneth (Ginny); two nieces, Nancy (Jeff) Hall and Karen Linton; two great nephews, Blake Hinkson and Trent Hinkson; two stepdaughters, Creation and Autumn and their mother Diane.He was preceded in death by his parents Kirk Louis and Evelyn Virginia (Bird) Linton.The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at Covenant Funeral Home, Fredericksburg. A funeral service will be held at 12 p.m. on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, at the funeral home chapel.
