Palm Coast, FL

Terry Lee McDeid, age 62, of Palm Coast, Florida, passed away peacefully on March 7, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by his loving family. Born on August 24, 1963, in Auburn, New York, to Alton and Joan McDeid of Cato, New York, Terry graduated from Cato-Meridian High School. He built a career at the world-famous Camillus Cutlery and later at Emerald Equipment in Liverpool, New York. Known for his steadfast work ethic, incredible sense of humor, and kind heart, he moved to Florida in 2018.

Terry was a devoted partner to Donna McKenney for more than twenty years. He was a loving father to his children and a zealous grandfather who found deep joy in spending time with them. He cherished his dog Capone and loved being outdoors, whether fishing, walking the beach, kayaking, or exploring new places. A dedicated NASCAR and dirt track racing fan, Terry filled rooms with his presence—funny, caring, and larger than life.

He is survived by his partner, Donna McKenney; his children, Jessica Carter (Jack Carter) of Liverpool, New York, Jennifer McDeid (David Reese) of Springhill, Florida, JayJay McDeid (Justin Shank) of Connecticut, and Jarrett McDeid (Kim Yeager) of Marcellus, New York; his mother, Joan McDeid of Auburn, New York; his brothers, Michael McDeid (Theresa) of Webster, New York, Scott McDeid (Lisa) of Weedsport, New York, Brian McDeid (Kelley) of Cato, New York, and Blaine McDeid of Union Springs, New York; and eight cherished grandchildren, Alexis, Ariana, and Jaxon Carter, Nova, Nyah, and Remington Shank, Kamaria Reese, and Ella McDeid, along with many nieces, nephews, and close friends.

Terry was preceded in death by his firstborn son, Brant McDeid of Marcellus, New York, his father, Alton McDeid of Cato, New York, and his first wife, Patti McDeid of Liverpool, New York. He was only 62 and will be remembered as a man who lived with warmth, humor, and unwavering devotion to those he loved.
