Terry Lee (Eaton) Love Hauger was born on February 25, 1944, in Dayton, Ohio, to John Clifton Eaton and Mary Catherine (Pitts) Eaton. She passed away on March 8, 2026.
A graduate of Northridge High School in Dayton in 1962, Terry went on to earn her degree from Miami-Jacobs College of Business in 1964, where she served as a member and secretary of the Alpha Iota International Honorary Business Sorority. She built a diverse career as an administrative assistant, bookkeeper, and office manager. From 1976 to 1984, she owned and managed The County Seat Hotel and Restaurant in Lebanon, Indiana. She concluded her professional life as a marketing assistant at Eli Lilly and Company in Indianapolis.
Terry was a longtime member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 79 in Zionsville, Indiana, as well as the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Museum and the Red River Museum in Clay City, Kentucky. In 1969, she married Jack A. Love of Pittsboro, Indiana. Jack preceded her in death in 2012. The couple had one daughter, Alana M. (Love) Rottler (Mark) of Springfield, Missouri, who survives her. In 1988, Terry married Robert L. (Bob) Hauger; Bob passed away in 2015.
She is survived by the Bob Hauger family—Gregory L. Hauger (Elizabeth) of Princeton, Indiana, Steven H. Hauger of Nashville, Indiana, John C. Hauger (Twila) of Bruceville, Indiana, and Sandy L. King (James Harris) of Indianapolis, Indiana—along with ten grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. For more than thirty-five years, Terry embraced them with warmth and dedication, and they lovingly called her “Grandma Terry.” She is also survived by her brother, John E. Eaton of Huber Heights, Ohio; her sister, A. DeMarice Moody of Indianapolis, Indiana; and several cherished Eaton family cousins with whom she maintained lifelong bonds: Marcia K. (J. Thomas) Hartman of Kettering, Ohio; Barbara E. (Jerry) Gunder of West Alexandria, Ohio; Beverly (DeWitt) Requarth of Spring City, Tennessee; Dan (Cathy) Dever of Bellefontaine, Ohio; and Karen Dever of Cary, North Carolina.
