Terry Don Pierce

Terry Don Pierce, age 82, of Maysville, Missouri, passed away on March 1, 2026. He was born on September 6, 1943, in Winston, Missouri, to Roscoe Pierce and Minnie Mae (Heldenbrand) Pierce. A longtime resident of Maysville, Terry graduated from Winston High School in 1961.

At the age of 17, he enlisted in the United States Navy and served for three years. Upon returning, he worked as a mechanic at McDonnell Aircraft in St. Louis for three years before beginning a long career with TWA at the overhaul base in Kansas City on June 15, 1968. Over the next 37 years, Terry held various mechanic positions, specializing in fuel tanks, and later served as an inspector. He retired from TWA/American in June of 2005.

On January 17, 1969, Terry married Judy Warren, and together they shared 55 years of marriage while raising two children, Sherri (Chuck) Woods and Greg Pierce. Terry was an avid golfer and a member of Lakesite Country Club for 50 years. After retirement, he continued his connection to the club by managing golf cart rentals and other duties. He also enjoyed playing cards, particularly poker at Lakesite, and traveling to Las Vegas with Judy to play poker and attend shows. Following Judy’s passing in 2024, Terry moved to St. Louis to be closer to his daughter Sherri and her family.

Terry was preceded in death by his wife Judy, his parents, his brother Gary Pierce, and his son Greg Pierce. He is survived by his daughter Sherri (Chuck) Woods and his grandchildren Bryce (Meghan) Woods, Ally (Jay) Dimaggio, and Justin Woods. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
