Terry de la Moriniere ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Brownlie & Maxwell Funeral Service & Crematory on Mar. 14, 2026.Terry Codet de la Moriniere, 85, of Melbourne, Florida, passed away March 8, 2026, at Your Life Memory Care in Melbourne.Born October 1, 1940, in Frederick, Oklahoma, he was the son of Eddie and Wanda de la Moriniere. Terry earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Texas Tech and worked as a mechanical engineer for many years. During the 1960s and 1970s, he served with NOAA and the World Meteorological Organization, conducting landmark weather research across the globe. His work contributed to the significant improvement of global weather prediction models and laid the groundwork for modern climate science and forecasting. Terry later retired from Harris Corporation.A devoted member of St. Paul's Anglican Church in Melbourne, Terry was known for his faithful service and quiet kindness.He is survived by his wife, Jodi de la Moriniere; daughter, Giselle (Doug) Robeson; stepsons, Matt DuPree and John DuPree; four grandchildren; and one great-grandson. He was preceded in death by his parents, Eddie and Wanda de la Moriniere, his brother, Jerry (Sue) de la Moriniere, and his former wife, Nancy de la Moriniere.A Requiem Mass will be held April 7, 2026, at noon at St. Paul's Anglican Church, Melbourne, Florida.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
