Terry Alan Simmons, MD, of Parkville, Missouri, passed away on March 3, 2026, with his devoted wife, Stacy, by his side. He was born on April 17, 1965, in Lockport, New York, to William and Mary Ann Simmons.
Terry grew up with a strong sense of family that remained the center of his life. He shared a lifelong bond with his brother, Mark Simmons of Phoenix, Arizona. From an early age, he carried the values of dedication, kindness, and loyalty that defined the man he became.
He earned his medical degree from Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, Maryland, and completed his family practice residency at Fort Belvoir, Virginia. Terry proudly served in the United States Army, providing care to military members and their families at Mannheim Health Clinic in Germany and later at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. Following his military service, he continued his commitment to patient care for more than 20 years at Family Medical Group at Providence Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas, where he served with compassion and unwavering dedication.
Above all, the pride and joy of Terry’s life was his family. He shared a wonderful life with his beloved wife, Stacy Simmons, in Parkville, Missouri. Together they built a home filled with warmth and laughter while raising their sons, Cole Simmons, 23, and Carson Simmons, 21, who were the light of their lives. Terry’s greatest happiness came from being present with his family, offering guidance, cheering them on, and simply spending time together. He will be remembered for his generous spirit, his deep love for those closest to him, and the many lives he touched through his care and kindness.
