Terrence Halldorson

Saskatoon, SK

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Terrence Halldorson on March 9, 2026. Born on April 6, 1960 in Regina, Saskatchewan to his mother Muriel, Terry moved with her to Swift Current shortly after his birth. He grew up surrounded by cousins who became like siblings, cherishing summers at Fishing Lake, days working on the farm, and lively family Christmas gatherings in Wynyard.

Terry attended Swift Current Comprehensive High School, where he thrived academically and participated in badminton, football, and the Meistersingers. It was there that he met the love of his life, Yvonne. They married in 1982 and welcomed three children. Upon graduation, Terry began his 33-year career with the Department of Highways, where he formed lasting friendships and took great pride in his work. After retiring, he continued private consulting until health challenges in 2025 led him to step away permanently.

Terry was a kind, caring, and honest man who saw the good in everyone. He was a loving son, husband, father, papa, uncle, and friend—generous and loyal, always making those around him feel heard and valued. He took pride in his Icelandic heritage and found joy in music, sports, and vehicles. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Yvonne; their children, Nicole Halldorson, Michael Halldorson, and Christine Gall (Jason); and his cherished grandchildren, Leo, Jack, Ava, and Grace.
