Terrence Edwards ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Cease Family Funeral Home - Park Rapids on Feb. 27, 2026.Terrence "Terry" Eugene Edwards, age 64, of Park Rapids, Minnesota, passed away at his home on Thursday, February 26, 2026, surrounded by family.Terry was born on March 13, 1961, to Garald and Sharon (Rice) Edwards in Park Rapids, MN. When Terry was one, the family moved to Nebraska where he lived for 27 years. While in Nebraska, Terry lived in Bancroft and Norfolk. In Bancroft he found hispassion for helping others by serving on the Fire Department. He worked at Wimmers in West Point before becoming an over-the-road truck driver, which he did until he moved to Nevis, MN, in 1989.Terry started working at Universal Frozen Foods, now Lamb Weston/RDO Frozen, in Park Rapids, MN, on March 3, 1989, where he started in Sanitation before moving into Maintenance – he worked his way up until he was a Packaging Maintenance Crew Chief and most recently was a Maintenance Scheduler/Planner. Throughout his 36+ years at Lamb Weston/RDO Frozen, Terry continued helping others while serving on the Nevis Fire Department & First Response from 1991-2007. Working at the potato plant is where Terry met his wife Tanya (Koskela) Edwards in July of 1998, and they later married on August 12, 2002. During their marriage, they provided foster care for 10 years as well as hosted two foreign exchange students. Throughout that time, Terry was famous for building the biggest snow sculptures in the neighborhood, inviting people over to help cut and spray paint movie characters like Mike from Monsters, Inc.; SpongeBob Square Pants & Patrick; and Minions.Outside work, Terry was a social butterfly and life of the party – he kept busy by playing both fast-pitch and slow-pitch softball and participating in pool league and walleye fishing league. Terry loved hunting, fishing, riding motorcycles, old cars, horsebackriding and old-time rock & roll music. Anyone who knew Terry through any of these hobbies knows that he was always ready for a good time!Terry was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, co-worker and friend to many and will be greatly missed!Terry is survived by his wife Tanya; his children: Jennifer (Michael) Graham of Lincoln, NE; Lindsey (Aaron) Modlin of Grand Island, NE; Eric of Osage, MN; Joshua of Duluth, MN; Tera, Hunter and Lilly; and Jade Thelen of Fargo, ND; his grandchildren: Wyatt, Cameron, Michaela, Bridgette, Kinley and Sawyer; his mother Sharon of Nevis, MN; his siblings: Doug (Nancy) Edwards of Bancroft, NE; Vicky (Glen) Luebbert of Nevis, MN; Ken (Michele) Edwards of Park Rapids, MN; Charles (Kelly) Edwards of Sebeka, MN; his in-laws: Ken and Sharon Koskela of Park Rapids, MN; Missy (Kelvin) Lubitz of Perham, MN; and Amy (Jeff) Still of Kennewick, WA; along with many nieces, nephews and many special children and grandchildren throughout the years of helping others.Terry was preceded in death by his father Garald Edwards.A celebration for Terry will be from 4:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. on Friday, March 13, 2026, at Cease Family Funeral Home of Park Rapids.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
