Born on October 15, 1931, in Alcorta, Argentina, Teresa's life was a testament to the power of family, faith and the enduring human spiritTeresa was the beloved wife of the late Antonio Scopino, who was the love of her life until his passing in 2001. She was the devoted daughter of the late Angelica Galzuta. Her life was enriched by her loving children and their spouses: Luigi Scopino and Chris Adamo, Robert and Silvia Scopino, and Adriana Scopino. Teresa's legacy continued through her adored grandchildren, Carolyn Scopino, Andrew Scopino, Thomas Scopino, Asha Simon and Miles Simon, who were her greatest joy. She was a caring aunt to Teresa Scopino, Silvia Davis, Juan Camussi, and Mario Scopino. Teresa was predeceased by her sister, Maria Camussi.After marrying Antonio in Argentina, she immigrated to New York and dedicated her life to creating a warm and nurturing home for her family. As a homemaker, she was the heart of the household, always ensuring that her family was well cared for and loved. Her Christian faith was a cornerstone of her life, guiding her actions and providing comfort in times of need. She also worked outside the home as a lunch lady for Ardsley High School in Ardsley, NY.Teresa's interests were as rich and varied as her life. She found immense joy in cooking for family and friends, especially during the holidays and was an avid reader. Her love for old classic movies was well known, as was her passion for learning about history and politics. Teresa held a special fascination for America's royal family, the Kennedys, often sharing stories and facts about their lives with her family.Above all, Teresa Norma Scopino believed family was everything and her life was a beautiful tapestry woven with love, faith and dedication to her family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and adored her, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of her family and the many lives she touched. Her memory will be a blessing to all and her legacy will endure through the generations.In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in memory of Teresa to one of her favorite charities, St Joseph's Indian School.The Scopino family would like to thank everyone for their love, support and understanding during this difficult time.Visitation will take place Friday, March 20, 2026 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Cargain Funeral Home., 418 Route 6 (GPS US-6), Mahopac, NY.
