Teresa Kathleen “Kathy” Neill, age 76, of Platteville, Colorado, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on March 10, 2026.

Born on February 1, 1950, in Tacoma, Washington, to Myrtle and James Hughes, Kathy grew up with a strong sense of family, faith, and adventure that guided her throughout her life. She was a devoted wife to her husband, Thomas Neill, and together they built both a home and a successful family business, Aspen Landscaping. Kathy’s hard work, dedication, and entrepreneurial spirit were central to its growth.

She was a loving mother to Debbie (Eric) Brunner, Eric (Jodi) Eychner, and Mike (Laura) Neill, and a proud grandmother to Emilee (Sam) Gates, Aryanna Neill, Lillia Neill, Evelyn Neill, Jon Neill, Faith Brunner, and Lawson Brunner. She was also blessed with two great-grandchildren, Ophelia and Xzander Gates. Kathy cherished her family deeply and found her greatest joy in spending time with them. She is also survived by her brothers, Jim (Karen) Hughes and Pat Hughes. She was preceded in death by her parents.

A devoted Christian, Kathy lived her faith daily and was known for her kind heart, strong spirit, and unwavering love for those around her. She had a deep love for the outdoors and especially enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping, often creating cherished memories with family and friends in nature. Her adventurous spirit and appreciation for the outdoors were defining parts of who she was. Kathy will be remembered as a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and loyal friend.
