Teresa Wharton ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Yates Funeral Home & Cremation Services - Fort Pierce on Mar. 17, 2026.Teresa Ann Wharton, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on the evening of March 13, 2026 at the age of 70. She was born on May 28, 1955, in Columbus, Ohio, and carried the warmth of the Midwest with her throughout her life. She shared 39 wonderful years of marriage with her devoted husband, Mason, building a life centered on family and faith. Teresa's laughter, wisdom, and faith-filled spirit will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.She leaves behind a legacy of love with her husband, Mason; her sisters, Vicky and Kelli; her adoring children, Chad, Jarrod, Madison, Ann, Jennifer, and Lisa; her fourteen cherished grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.Educated at Brevard State College, Teresa's passion for the arts led her to own and manage an eclectic art gallery in Jensen Beach, Florida, where she cultivated a community of artists and art lovers alike. Teresa's interests were simple yet profound; she found joy in the pages of a good book and in the laughter of her grandchildren. She was the embodiment of selflessness, always putting others before herself and finding happiness in the happiness of those she loved. Her greatest pride and joy were her family. She loved deeply and gave generously, creating a home filled with warmth, laughter, and unwavering support. Her children and grandchildren will always remember her kindness, strength, and the love she poured into every moment spent together. As a devout Christian, Teresa lived a life that was a testament to the grace and love she found in her Savior, Jesus Christ, and she shared this love generously with all around her.Her greatest wish in life was that her loved ones would come to know and love Jesus the way she did, so that one day they would all be reunited with her in heaven. "You don't have to climb the highest mountain or go to the deepest sea to find Jesus"-Teresa Wharton. She had written this down referencing Romans 10:9 which states: "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved."To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
