Teresa Ann Therkelsen

Teresa Ann Therkelsen, 68, of Racine, passed away on March 9, 2026. Born in Racine on November 5, 1957, to Erwin and Ruth (née Christensen) Therkelsen, Teresa lived a life marked by steadfast loyalty and quiet dedication. She spent 42 years in factory work at MAMCO before retiring, approaching each day with reliability and good spirit.

Teresa found joy in life’s simple pleasures. A devoted Green Bay Packers fan, she looked forward to every season. She cherished time with her family, especially her nieces and nephews, sharing meals, laughter, and warm moments together. Her beloved dogs brought her constant companionship, and she enjoyed relaxing with her favorite program, Around the Corner with John McGivern, along with many classic television shows. Teresa loved a good cup of coffee from 7 Brew, took pride in baking—particularly her homemade Christmas cookies given as gifts—and honored her Danish heritage as a faithful member of Living Faith Lutheran Church. She also loved to dance and created fond memories attending Elvis performances with her nephew.

She is survived by her sisters, Julie (Matt Newhouse) Emmons, Sharon (Frank) Balestrieri, and Kim (David) Heimerl; her nieces and nephews, Robin, Steven, Clint, Michelle, Becky, Sarah, Ashley, Shane, Nicole, and Cassie; nine great-nieces and great-nephews; and many other relatives and friends. Teresa was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Glenn Therkelsen, her nephew Cody Heimerl, and her grandmother Lillian Christensen.
