Teresa Ann Hamlet

Teresa Ann Hamlet, of Rolla, Missouri, passed away on March 10, 2026, at the age of 71. She was born on May 4, 1954, in Brownwood, Texas, to Ancil L. Forbess, Jr. and Bobbie Jean Barnes Forbess. On September 13, 1986, she married Garry Neal Hamlet.

Teresa was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose joyful spirit touched everyone she met. She cherished the outdoors, spending many happy hours at the river fishing with family and friends. She created countless cherished memories traveling to the beaches of Jamaica with her close circle of friends, where laughter, sunshine, and music filled their days. The life of the party, she loved all genres of music and could often be found singing and dancing wherever she was. In her younger years she played guitar and often spoke of picking it up again. A dedicated sports fan, she rarely missed a St. Louis Cardinals or Dallas Cowboys game, even watching through labor with her oldest son in 1976. She shared these moments with her family from her back deck or couch.

Her three sons were her greatest accomplishment. During the early years of her marriage to Garry, she and her husband spent many weekends traveling to their sporting events, rarely missing a game. Her grandchildren affectionately called her Grandma T, a name that reflected the love and warmth she gave so freely. Teresa will be remembered for her vibrant personality, her deep love of music, and her infectious laughter that made everyone feel like family.

She is survived by her husband, Garry N. Hamlet of Rolla, Missouri; three sons, Gregory Pittman and wife Tara of Rolla, Missouri, Cory Pittman of O’Fallon, Missouri, and Justin Pittman of Park Hills, Missouri; one brother, Rodney Forbess and wife Darlene of Rogers, Arkansas; two grandchildren, Chase Pittman and Lorelei Pittman; her faithful dogs, Bindi and Pip; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
