Teresa Ann Caldwell

Teresa Ann Caldwell, 73, of Clothier, West Virginia, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family. Born on December 17, 1952, she was the daughter of Sammy and Edie Ball of Hewett, West Virginia. Teresa was a strong, feisty woman who lived life on her own terms and held on with remarkable determination until the very end. She was known throughout her family for her cherished oyster dressing, a holiday tradition that gathered everyone around the table year after year.

She found joy in life’s simple pleasures, from watching her favorite reality TV shows from her bedroom while waving to her husband Gary in the living room, to keeping up with the latest trends through her love of shopping for clothes and perfume. Teresa and Gary shared many happy years together, including memorable camping trips in their camper. For the past four years, as her health declined, Gary cared for her with unwavering patience and devotion, a testament to the deep love they shared over their 54 years of marriage. Above all, her greatest joy was her grandchildren, who brought her endless pride and happiness.

Teresa was preceded in death by her parents, Edie and Sammy Ball; her son, George Gary “Bubby” Caldwell; and her siblings, Vicky, Penny, and Paul Ray Ball. She is survived by her husband, Gary Caldwell; her daughters, Samantha (Willie) Price of Hurricane, West Virginia, and Christina (Bill) Mullins of Madison, West Virginia; grandchildren, Chelsea (Gunner) Pauley, Rikki Lynn (Wade) Walters, Sydney (Brady) McComas, Tanner Price, Maddie Mullins, Marlie Mullins, Alex Caldwell, and Abby Thompson; and great-grandchildren, Piercen Pauley, Gabby Pauley, Titus Walters, and Lyla McComas.

She will be remembered for her vibrant personality, wonderful sense of humor, and the love she gave so freely to her family.
