Sorrells Sr., 77, of Gilmer, Texas, will be held at 3:00 pm, Monday, March 16, 2026, at Glenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:30 pm – 2:30 pm, before the service, at McWhorter Funeral Home.Teddy was born on January 19, 1949, in Linden, Texas, to Clement P. Sorrells and Zella Mae Fountain and passed from this life on March 12, 2026, in Gilmer, Texas.Teddy proudly served our country in the United States Marine Corps and worked as a truck driver for most of his life before retiring.Those left to cherish his memory are his children, Jason Sorrells (Bobbie), Teddy Sorrells Jr. (Marilyn), Danny Sorrells (Theresa), Ashley Wilkinson, and Zack Sorrells; siblings, Mike Sorrells (Paula), Jewel Simmons (Jerry), Marsha Cummings, and Vickie Starks (Barry); numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; as well as many other family members.He was preceded in death by his parents, Clement and Zella, and his brother, David Sorrells.Please visit Teddy's online registration book at http://www.mcwhorterfh.com to leave a memory for the family.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
