Teddy Ray Simmons

Teddy Ray Simmons, 76, of Chillicothe, Ohio, passed away on March 12, 2026, at Adena Regional Medical Center in Chillicothe.

Born on September 5, 1949, in Williamson, West Virginia, Teddy was the son of the late Theodore Simmons and Bennie (Hunter) Simmons. On May 2, 1980, he married Debra Sue Kerr, who survives him.

He is also survived by his sons, Robert Alan Simmons and Thomas (Kelsi) Owens; his daughter, Jennifer Lynn Simmons; eight grandchildren, Justice Simmons, Gabriel Simmons, Janelle Thompson, Austin Owens, Cadence Owens, Brinley Owens, Daylin Owens, and Braden (Oriana) Wireman; six great-grandchildren, Liam, Lukis, Lakoda, Lylah, Amaya, and Paige; two brothers, Walter Simmons and Denny (Joyce) Simmons; and five sisters, Sue Laferty, Wilma Wyatt, Sharon (Mike) Anderson, Charlene Barch, and Lisa (Ralph) Shackart.

In addition to his parents, Teddy was preceded in death by his son, Chad Owens, and two brothers, Bob Simmons and Travis Simmons.
