Teddy Allen ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Clark Legacy Center - Nicholasville on Mar. 4, 2026.Teddy Lee Allen, 83, passed away on Sunday, March 1, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family.Born May 30, 1942, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to the late Georgia Hayes and Alby Allen, Ted built a life centered on family and quiet devotion. He married his high school sweetheart, Helen Tucker Allen, and together they shared 64 years of marriage - a lifetime of partnership, loyalty, and love.Ted retired from GTE after 30 years of dedicated service. Outside of work, he enjoyed fishing, throwing darts, riding four-wheelers at Black Mountain, and painting birds and landscapes. He will be remembered most for his kind nature, steady presence, and good humor.He is survived by his devoted wife, Helen; his son, Kevin (Angela Carroll); sisters, Judy (Mike) Carlisle and Rita (Alan) Bohannon; brothers, Chris (Betty) Allen and Jeff (Melissa) Allen; grandchildren, Spencer (Catie) Allen, Maggie (Casey) Freeman, and Bailey (Michaela) Allen; and great-grandchildren, Henry Allen and Jude Freeman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Val Allen.A visitation will be held Saturday, March 14, 2026 from 12:00–2:00 p.m. at Clark Legacy Center, 601 E Brannon Rd, Nicholasville, KY, followed by a memorial service at 2:00 p.m., officiated by Dr. Mike Carlisle, Southern Baptist Pastor, retired.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to, Scatter JOY, Inc,194 Bent Tree Court, Nicholasville, KY 40356To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
